COMPACTORS AND PRESSES – CARDBOARD PROCESSING

Cardboard is well recyclable. With the correct assembly and the presence of a small amount of dirty or unusable material, cardboard can be recycled almost indefinitely. The cardboard waste is shredded and turned into a cardboard mass, from which a new corrugated cardboard or cardboard can be made.

Waste Compactors

Waste compactors are efficient equipment for collecting and compacting cardboard. The CombiMax Press Compactor as standard with a 20 m3 container can hold up to 3,000 kg of pressed cardboard. By comparison, if you store the same amount of cardboard in 770-liter wheeled garbage cans with a maximum capacity of 360 kg, you will need more than 8 such bins. This is a huge waste of money and time. You have to empty the Compactor just once, while 8 dumpsters have to spend 8 times more time! The waste compactor saves you time, money and space. It will also keep the cardboard in one place and away from pests, and the cardboard will be clean and dry. Waste compactors can also be equipped with Europress SMART service, which will inform you about the filling of the compactor, in online mode, so that you can use your time and money even more efficiently.

Balex®- vertical presses

If you don’t have enough space for the waste compactor, the Balex® vertical press is perfect. The compact size of Balex presses allows you to place them comfortably even in the smallest room. The Balex line of vertical presses features 6-dimensional presses. When the press is full, the finished bale can easily be moved to the pallet for further processing. The most popular Balex-30 press has a pressing force of 30 tons, which allows very dense bales weighing 280-320 kg. This compares to a 770-litre wheeled garbage can of 360 kg and a 240-litre garbage can of 110 kg. One stack of compressed waste weighs as much as a 770-litre trash can full of uncompressed cardboard to be emptied on site, unlike the Balex press, from which you remove finished bales and can instantly lay new material.

Types of cardboard waste

There are two types of cardboard waste: corrugated cardboard and cardboard. Every time cardboard is recycled, the fibers that hold it down become a little shorter, and when the fibers become too short to be corrugated into cardboard, the material can be recycled into cardboard.
